Did you cross Cairo, Egypt off your bucket list yet? Our time is short here on this earth! Don’t wait till “tomorrow” what you can do today. Join us for the trip of a lifetime. Have you ever wanted to experience the REAL Cairo? Not only the tourist Cairo but also how the locals live and experience daily life?
Join Aleya in Cairo and have a look at how it is to live in this romantic, crazy, fun, exciting city and explore it in a whole new way. Taxi rides are the tip of the iceberg with Om Kolsum playing on the radio and a ride that rivals the best rollercoasters in the world.
We will visit three cabarets of different calibers (one of which will be Lucy’s Parisianna) – fun and exciting, each very unique, and the perfect places that a dancer would love to see! (You must see one of the longest dancing performers in life ).
We will visit Khan el Khalili, one of the oldest and biggest markets in the Middle East, where you can shop to your heart’s content. Fabrics, costumes, souvenirs, jewelry, and enjoy a shisha and coffee at the famous Fishawi Café are only a few of the highlights of this stop in the tour.
No trip to Egypt is complete without visiting the Pyramids of Giza. The glorious Pyramids are one of the Seven Wonders of the World and the only one still standing. Yes that is true, the only one still standing. A MUST see for anyone coming to Egypt.
As it is customary when traveling abroad, a gastronomic tour of the many Egyptian dishes is planned. You will enjoy the best foul, koshari, ta’ameya, and natural juices that the locals have to offer for pennies on the dollar, and upscale restaurants also.
The history of Egypt is rich and vibrant. You will get to experience thousands of years of culture and tradition through places like the Egyptian Museum (which houses the mask of King Tut and actual mummies), the Coptic Museum, Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosque, and Al Azhar Park in all their splendor.
We will also have one or two classes scheduled at the hotel to really immerse in the Egyptian style of dance. Learn how to get that “feeling” of oriental dance” into your soul. Teacher TBD.
Of course, there will be a Nile cruise with a belly dance show and dinner. What a glorious way to see the Nile, it’s so beautiful and dreamy cruising down the river with live Arabic music playing. And the famous tanoura show at Khan el Khalili. What more could you ask for?
Two other things on the agenda will be finding a local street wedding and having a party with a live band where you can dance, perform, and show off!
For those of you who want to take advantage of the incredible backdrop of the pyramids, we can set you up with a photoshoot with a local photographer. You can finally cross that off your big list also.
And yes, you will have time to explore the city on your own. So come and join us for this amazing experience. A trip of a lifetime, and one you will never forget!
Price includes 2 meals a day, room and board double occupancy in Kanzy hotel in Dokki, (which incidentally is in Aleya’s neighborhood just down the street) all entrance fees to excursions and nightclub fees. Taxi stand nearby and many cafes and restaurants and shopping.
About the organizer: Aleya has been living in Cairo for the last 5+ years belly dancing, making costumes, and creating Cairobellydance.com online belly dance classes with Egyptian teachers. She has been to just about every cabaret in Cairo and loves to go watch dancers. Many people call or ask Aleya about where dancers are performing or where to buy costumes or take classes when in Cairo, so she decided to have her own tour so you don’t have to ask anymore, you can just come and hang out with her to see all that she knows and loves about Cairo. Now you can experience Cairo like a local and navigate this crazy city. Anything you want to do or are interested in, just let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.
Remember always to open your mind and heart with travel. If you are a dancer you absolutely 100% must come to Cairo, everything will make sense after that. ou have plenty of time to organize your trip. Can’t wait to see you here!
