Have you been waiting for A Improv Class to Make you Dance Like a Star Second series?
Well, we have some exciting news!! We’re starting the second series of “Improv Class to Make you Dance Like a Star”.
There is so much to learn! In the first series, we covered how to make your moves different, how to hear and interpret music with live musicians. Some song translations, how not to keep repeating same moves, and so much more.
In this second series we will cover a lot of what we could not get to in the first series. We will work with floor patterns, and traveling steps, arms and hands, turns, stops and flourishes. Also how to just get up and dance to any song by hearing the music for the first time. These are invaluable lessons for any dancer whether you are new or seasoned. The 7 class series will run as the previous series ran, with warm up and cool down and each class will be about 45-60 min in length.
It is our pleasure to help you become the best dancer you can be and show you how to use all your skills to dance like a perfect version of yourself and not a copy cat of someone else.
Here is what some of the past students had to say about the first series:
“Aleya, I hope you are having a relaxing vacation. I wanted to write to thank you. Your improv series are helping so much! I recently auditioned to dance professionally and made both auditions! The last audition there were 7 professional performers, and me, just ‘coming out” one of the judges commented to another friend, who told me that I was the stand out performer!!!! Thank you so much. I couldn’t have done it without you. Everyone is just gushing over my dancing lately. That’s all. Just wanted to share! I am so joyful that I had to share my happy time with you.” –SV
“Thanks Aleya, amazing classes all of them, I especially loved the last one. I’ve performed to Aminti Billah a few times and the musical break down was awesome. My heart belongs to baladi, I’m just a bint el balad! I’m looking forward to repeat sessions when I have more time” xxxx Mirja
“I completed the classes and really enjoyed them! I was sad when they were done because I felt like it was a weekly class that I attended. Lol Anyway, I learned a lot! I especially enjoyed the class on rhythms, hand gestures and the one where we learned the translation of songs! “ – CW
“Have to say that now really beginning understand value of those improvisation & shabbi classes:) Really love the fact you can just jump in those shaabi classes and if you do those often I think you really start to learn that earthyness , feeling & improvisation to your muscle memory. I think for Western people it can be pretty hard to learn that relaxness, what you need for oriental dance to look good & natural.Great mix of aerobics, shaabi & classical egyptian bellydance moves. Wow! Thank you Aleya & have a great day! “ – Minna
